LAKSHMIPUR, Jan 20, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed and another was injured in a road accident in the Fesari area of Sadar upazila here today.

The deceased were Anwar Hossain, 35, son of Rafiqullah, a resident of Tumchar area and Azad Hossain, 32, of Charramoni of the upazila.

The accident took place on the Lakshmipur-Majuchowdhuryhut road when a sand-laden truck hit an auto rickshaw around 11 am, leaving its passenger Murad dead on the spot and two others critically injured, said M Abdul Monnaf, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station.

The injured were sent to Sadar Hospital where Azad succumbed to his injuries.
