GAIBANDHA, Jan 24, 2025 (BSS)- A van paddler was killed in a road accident at Jamertal Thutia Pukur area of Gaibandha-Palashbari road under Palashbari Upazila here this morning. 

The victim was identified as Sakib Miah, 20, son of Anwarul Haque of Shibrampur area under Palashbari municipality.
 
Police said a Dhaka bound passenger bus knocked down the chicken carrying van at around 11 am leaving van paddler killed on the spot. 
Inspector (Investigation) of Palashbari thana Laisur Rahman confirmed the incident and said they are trying to seize the bus and arrest the driver.
