BGB seizes Indian cumin seeds worth Tk 12 lakh in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Jan 24, 2025 (BSS) – Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have seized 1,020 kilograms (kg) of Indian cumin seeds, also known as Jeera, worth Taka 12.24 lakh in the district last night. 

Based on secret information, a BGB patrol team conducted a special operation at the Beltoli area of ??Haluaghat upazila and seized the bags of Indian cumin seeds, said BGB sources today. 

However, the smugglers who were involved in dealing those goods fled leaving those bags after sensing the presence of the BGB, sources added.

None is arrested so far in this connection.
