MEHERPUR, Feb, 5, 2025 (BSS) - A discussion and prize-distribution ceremony were held here today marking National Library Day-2025. 

District Administration and the District Government Public Library organised the event at District Government Public Library auditorium this morning. 

With Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Tariqul Islam in the chair, the programme was addressed by Superintendent of Police Maksuda Akhtar Khanam and Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohi Uddin Ahmed as special guests.

Associate Professor of Meherpur Government Women's College Kazi Ashraful Alam and District Librarian Afroza Khatun were present.

Speakers underscored the need for promoting libraries in enhancing knowledge and educational development.
