FENI, Feb 16, 2025 (BSS) - The voluntary organisation named "Janaseba Kendra"
today provided one-month food assistance to 700 helpless and distressed
families at Daganbhuiyan and Sonagazi upazilas in the district.
Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, food packs containing 11 types of daily
necessities including rice, pulses, dates, soybean oil, sugar, chickpeas,
potatoes and onions were distributed.
Feni-3 (Daganbhuiyan-Sonagazi) Development Council Chairman and Jamaat-e-
Islami Dhaka Metropolitan North Assistant Secretary Dr Md Fakhruddin Manik
distributed the food aid to 350 families at the Ataturk Model High School
grounds.
Meanwhile, 350 helpless families also received the same food assistance at
the Al-Helal Academy grounds in Sonagazi Municipality.
Local leaders including Daganbhuiyan Upazila Jamaat Secretary Kamal Uddin
Patwari and Municipal Secretary Kamruzzaman were present at the time.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Fakhruddin Manik said such
humanitarian activities will continue in future.
