TANGAIL, March 10, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcycle rider and his co-rider werekilled as an unidentified vehicle hit their bike at Kalihati upazila of the district this morning.

The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Tangail highway at Kamakkhya intersection under Kalihati of the Jamuna Bridge around 6.30am today but the identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, said Sheikh Mohammad Rubel, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jamuna Bridge (East) Police Station.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered their bodies, he said, adding, "Police seized the motorbike from the spot."
