Bangladesh army distributes humanitarian aids in Khagrachhari

KHAGRACHHARI, March 10, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Army has distributed iftar items among 400 underprivileged families marking the holy month of Ramadan and provided free medical care and essential medicines to at least 500 families at Matiranga here this morning.

Besides, the army rebuilt a home that had been destroyed by fire in Kathal Bagan, assisted a road accident victim, and offered financial aid to a group of students from the hill tracks. Additionally, the army provided a sewing machine to a needy family.

The Matiranga upazila livestock department and veterinary also contributed by providing medical treatment to local livestock.

Bangladesh Army Matiranga Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Kawshik Jahan handed over the humanitarian aids among the recipients as the chief guest.

Members of Khagrachhari hill district council Manjila Akhter Juma and Joya Tripura attended the event, among others.
