MYMENSINGH, Mar 10, 2025 (BSS) - Three people were killed and three others injured as a CNG-run autorickshaw crashed into a truck at Phulphur upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased are indentified as Hasad Hossain, 16, son of Hafiz Uddin from Hatpagla village in Phulpur, Abul Kashem, 50, son of Nabab Ali from the Polashtoli area under Raipura upazila of Narsingdi and Ashique Mia, 20, son of Riaz Uddin hailed from Satugaon of Nakla under Sherpur district. 

Police and local sources said the accident occurred when a CNG auto-rickshaw hit a speedy truck coming from opposite site in Chawrabari area around 9am leaving three persons died on the spot. 

Three critically injured passengers were rushed to Phulphur Upazila health complex. Later, they were shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. 

The truck driver along with the vehicle managed to flee, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Phulpur Police Station Md. Abdul Hadi.
