10 shops gutted in Sunamganj fire

SUNAMGANJ, March 10, 2025 (BSS) - Ten shops were gutted in a fire at Sachna Bazar in Jamalganj upazila of the district this morning.

The fire originated from mosquito coil of a grocery shop and soon engulfed the adjacent shops. 

Being informed, fire service personnel of Jamalganj Fire Station rushed to the spot and doused the blaze with the help of locals and affected businessmen after one and half hours effort, said Saiful Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jamalganj Police Station.

The total extent of the damage will be known after the investigation, said firefighter Ifti Hossain of Jamalganj Fire Service.
