PATUAKHALI, March 10, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested two alleged robbers from Nawabganj village of Nilganj union under Kalapara upazila of the district early this morning.

The arrested were Maksud Majumdar, 39, and Monir Hossain, 37.

Police arrested them with the help of locals while they were attempting to commit robbery in the area around 1 am, said Mohammad Jewel Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Kalapara Police Station.

A robber gang carrying country-made weapons entered Sardar's house after breaking the main door for committing robbery.

Sencing the presence of robbers, people from the neighboring house called 999. Later, with the help of locals, police caught the duo of the gang from that house.

A case was filed in this connection.
