2 held with ganja, phensidyl in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, Mar 10, 2025 (BSS)- Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested two persons with 120 kilograms of ganja and 130 bottles of Phensidyl from Mahmudabad on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Raipura upazila of the district early hours of today.

The arrestees were Shafiqul Islam, 35, son of Abu Taher from Shoabai Purbo Para, and Mosiur Alam, 22, son of Shahnoor Rahman from Gandhabpur of Madhabpur police station in Habiganj district.

On a tip-off, a team of DB police raided the area and arrested them with the abusive drugs, said Narsingdi Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Abdul Hannan.

Legal action has been taken in this regard.
