SIRAJGANJ, March 10, 2025 (BSS) – On behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, a delegation of ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ has visited the family members of Shanto Biswas, a meritorious student from Sirajganj who recently got the chance to get admitted to Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

The delegation led by Amra BNP Paribar Convener and BNP cell Member Atiqur Rahman Ruman, met Shanto’s family members this evening and expressed greetings on behalf of Tarique Rahman.

Sirajganj District BNP Convener Rumana Mahmud, Amra BNP Paribar General Secretary Mokhselul Momin Mithun, Jatiyatabadi Swechhasebok Dal District Convener Abdullah-Al Kayes and former BNP central Committee Vice-President Zamil Hossain were present on the occasion.

Atikur Rahman Ruman said, “Tarique Rahman had read a news article about Shanto Biswas in a daily newspaper and had decided to send us to meet with Shanto and his family to convey his well-wishes and support.”

The Acting Chairman also promised financial support, including a monthly educational stipend for Shanto’s future, he added.

Shanto got chance to get admitted to both BUET and KUET in the recently held admission test of the country’s two leading universities. But his dream of pursuing higher education was at risk due to financial constraints.

Shanto is the eldest child of Kalpana Biswas and Joykrishna Biswas, residents of Gopalpur village in Kamarkhand upazila of Sirajganj. His younger sister, Trishna Biswas, is a ninth-grade student of Choubarhi Islamia High School.

The visit by ‘Amra BNP Family’ and the support by Tarique Rahman have provided a much-needed ray of hope for Shanto, who is now one step closer to realizing his dreams despite the odds stacked against him.
