KCC evicts illegal shops in Khulna

KHULNA, April 9, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna City Corporation (KCC) in a day-long drive evicted unauthorized structures built on Narail Kacharighat road, adjacent to Borobazar  in the city today.

They also fined and realised Tk 23,500 from the shop owners.

KCC Magistrate Jannatul Afroz Swarna led the six-hour-long drives from 10.30 am in the city with Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) and officials of Estate Section of KCC in Borobazar and different roadside footpaths areas.

Aimed at removing traffic congestion on the roads and to free footpaths from illegal grabbers, the KCC will continue the  eviction drives in the city, said Gazi Salahuddin, Estate Officer of KCC.
