DHAKA, Aug 26, 2025 (BSS) – Bangla Academy will organize a seminar and cultural programme commemorating the 49th death anniversary of the National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. 

Bangla Academy Secretary Dr M Selim Reza will give address of welcome at the programme to be organized at Poet Shamsur Rahman seminar room of the academy at 4:00 pm tomorrow.

Nazrul Researcher Prof. Dr Anawarul Huq will deliver key-note speech on fundamental spirit of Nazrul at the seminar.

Nazrul researchers Dr Syeda Motahera Banu and poet and writer Kazi Nasir Mamun will participate in the discussion with Bangla Academy Director General Prof. Mohammad Azam in the chair.

Titu Munshi will recite from the poems of Kazi Nazrul Islam while Singer Ferdous Ara, Shahid Polash and Tanvir Alam Sajib will sing the Nazrul songs at the cultural programme.
