Motorcyclist killed in Sylhet road crash

SYLHET, April 10, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed as a bus hit the two-wheeler in Moglabazar Renga Madrasa area under South Surma upazila of the district this morning.

Police identified the deceased as Ali Ahmed, 36, son of late Anjab Ali, a resident of Inat Alipur village of the upazila.

The accident occurred around 11:00am when a Sylhet-bound bus hit the motorbike coming from opposite direction, leaving its rider Ali Ahmed critically injured, said Khandaker Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Moglabazar Police Station.

Injured Ali Ahmed was taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
