Woman killed in Sherpur road accident

SHERPUR, April 10, 2025 (BSS) - Mother of a Secondary School Certificate SSC) examinee was killed in a road accident on the way home after leaving her daughter at the examination center in Nakla upazila of the district this morning.

Police identified the deceased as Shirina Begum, 38, wife of Sohel Rana, a resident of Reharchar village under Char Ashtodhar union of the upazila. 

The accident took place around 12pm in Char Basanti area when an auto rickshaw hit the woman, leaving Shirina Begum critically injured, said Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Nakla Police Station.

The injured was rushed to Nakla Upazila Health Complex where doctor on duty declared her dead.
