Feni Jubo Dal founder convener Abul Kalam laid to rest

FENI, April 10, 2025 (BSS) – Feni Jubo Dal founder convener and publisher and editor of the weekly newspaper Muhuri Abul Kalam Patwari was laid to eternal rest at family graveyard.

He was buried at family graveyard of Rampur Ahmed Ali Patwari house following a namaz-e-janaza on Pagla Mia Takia Mosque premises in the district town this morning attended by his family members and a large number of admirers and well-wishers.

The district BNP convener Sheikh Farid Bahar, Jamaat Ameer Mufti Abdul Hannan, BNP member secretary Alal Uddin Alal, joint convener Anwar Hossain Patwari, BSS's Feni district correspondent and editor of the Daily Fenirshomoy Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Star Line Group vice chairman Zafar Uddin, district Jubo Dal convener Nasir Uddin Khandaker, the deceased's younger son, Feni Diabetic Hospital resident medical officer Dr. Mehedi Hasan Raju, among others, spoke before the janaza.

Abul Kalam Patwari passed away at the age of 73 while undergoing treatment at Anwar Khan Modern Hospital in the capital at around 1:20 pm on Wednesday.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters, grandchildren, relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

He was the general secretary of Feni New Market Businessmen's Association, a member of the board of directors of Joynal Hazari College and Feni Central High School, and a member of the GS of Greater Noakhali Students' Union and the Miftahul Uloom Madrasa Management Committee in 1974. 

He was also the owner of Satta Enterprise and Sultana Transport.
