MEHERPUR April 10, 2025 (BSS) - A minor girl drowned in a pond at Buriponta
village of Sadar upazila here this afternoon.

The deceased was Marium Khatun Mitu, 7, daughter of Abdul Malek Ali, a
resident of the village.

Mitu was playing near the pond adjacent to their house and slipped into it
and drowned, family sources said.

Her body was found floating in the pond near their house around 3 pm.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Sheikh Mesbah Uddin confirmed.
