Man convicted after 21 years of murder

NARAYANGANJ, April 10, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today awarded life-term imprisonment to a man after 21 years of a murder.

Additional District and Sessions Judge of Narayanganj Mominul Islam awarded the sentence to one Masum, 42 for killing a teenage boy Murad at Fatulla area in 2004.

Court Inspector Kaiyum Khan told the journalists that the court pronounced the verdict in absentia of the convict.  
Murad was the son of Ponir Hossain of Tolla Matbarbari under Fatulla upazila.

According to the prosecution, Masum, son of Abdul Ahad of Tolla Chhoto Masjid area of Fatulla called up Murad from his residence and killed him later.  

Sahara Khatun, mother of Murad filed the case with Fatulla thana in this connection.
