BOGURA, April 11, 2025 (BSS) - A battery-powered auto-rickshaw driver was killed when a passenger bus collided with his vehicle at Kahaloo upazila in the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Nur Alam, 55, son of late Osman Ali of Shikhar Bibi Pukur village under Kahaloo Police Station in the district.

The accident occurred around 8:30am when a Shyamoli Paribahan bus struck the auto-rickshaw on the Bogura-Naogaon regional road in the Bhabra area, leaving auto-rickshaw driver dead on the spot, said Abdul Hannan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kahaloo Police Station.

Later, police recovered the body and legal procedures are currently underway, he added.
