KHULNA, April 11, 2025 (BSS): The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Fahim, the main suspect in the murder of easy bike driver Palash, from the New Market area in Faridpur last night.
On information, members of RAB-6, with support from RAB-10, conducted a raid in the New Market area under Kotwali Police Station in Faridpur and arrested Fahim, said a press release today.
The murder took place on April 6 during a week-long Eid Mela at Jatisangha Shishu Park in Khulna city. Over a personal dispute, Fahim and his accomplices allegedly attacked and stabbed Palash.
Palash was critically injured and rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), where he died the following morning on April 7 while receiving treatment.
Following the incident, Palash's father filed a case with Khulna Sadar Police Station.
Fahim, son of Bhutto and a resident of Deben Babu Road in Khulna, has reportedly confessed to the crime during initial questioning, said the press release.
He has been handed over to Khulna Sadar Police for further legal proceedings, it added.
