One held with arms, bullets in Meherpur

MEHERPUR, April 11, 2025 (BSS) - A joint force consisting of 
members of the Bangladesh Army and police have arrested a man with 
arms and bullets during a raid in Lokkhinarayanpur Dhola village under 
Gangni upazila around at 6:30 am today. 

The arrestee was Laltu Biswas, 40, son of late Akkash Ali of the 
Lokkhinarayanpur Dhola village. 

A foreign arm, two magazines and three rounds of bullet were recovered 
from the scene.  
Captain of 27 Field Regiment Artillery Rawshon led the operation along 
with a police team of Gangni police station.

Captain Rawshon said, “Based on secret information, the joint force 
conducted a raid at the residence of Laltu Biswas and arrested him. Later, 
he was handed over to the Gangni police station.”

Officer in-Charge (OC) of the Gangni police station Bani Israil said, “The 
process of filing a case is under way under the Arms Act.”
