24 kg venison, deer hide seized in Mongla

BAGERHAT, April 12, 2025 (BSS) - The Coast Guard seized 24 kilograms of venison and a deer hide during a raid in the Harbaria area near Joymonirgol Balur Math in Mongla upazila last night.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Coast Guard West Zone conducted the raid around 10pm, said Lieutenant Mahbub Hossain, the zone's media officer.

The poachers managed to escape before the Coast Guard arrived.

The seized venison and deer hide were later handed over to the Nandawala Forest Office for further legal action.
