Minor girl drowns in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, April 12, 2025 (BSS) – A minor girl drowned in a pond at Kandail village under Amdia union of Sadar upazila here today.

The deceased was Nabila Akter, 08, daughter of Md. Zakir Hossain of the village.

Nabila drowned in the pond near her house while taking bath around 1.30 pm, said Md. Raihan Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Madhabdi Bazar Fire Station.

After nearly an hour of frantic serach, her body was recovered from the pond.
