Two drug dealers held in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, April 13, 2025 (BSS)- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)in separate
drives arrested two persons involved in drug trafficking on Saturday in the
district.

The arrested were identified as Sheikh Hridoy, 32, son of Md. Abdul Malek,
and Nahid Morol, 25, son of Md. Mokhles. Both are hailed from West Bagra
village under Sreenagar upazila.

According to a press release issued by the RAB-10 today, Sheikh Hridoy was
arrested while a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Vaggokul area
under Sreenagar upazila.

The team also recovered 150 pieces of Yaba tablets and a motorcycle from his
possession, it said.

Nahid Morol, who was reportedly fleeing in connection with a drug-related
case, was arrested in the Kamargaon area of the aforesaid upazila.

Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-10, Shamim Hasan told BSS, "Sheikh Hridoy
is a professional drug dealer who has been involved in selling drugs in
Munshiganj after collecting those from various border areas for an extended
period."

Hridoy has been handed over to the Sreenagar Police Station with a case,
Shamim added.

Regarding the second arrest, Shamim Hasan confirmed that Nahid Morol was also
arrested on the same day and subsequently transferred to the Sreenagar Police
Station.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sreenagar Police Station confirmed the matter.
