JAMALPUR, April 14, 2025 (BSS) - Pahela Baishakh, the first day of Bengali new year-1432, was celebrated in a befitting manner in the district today.

District administration, political parties, various social and cultural organizations chalked out elaborate programmes, including rally, cultural programme and sports, to mark the day.

A mammoth colorful rally was brought out from the Bakultola area in the district town this morning participated by people of all walks of life.

The rally, led by Deputy Commissioner Hasina Begum, paraded through the main roads and concluded at the Shilpakala Academy premises.
The rally was followed by a cultural programme at Shilpakala Academy auditorium.

Besides, Udichi arranged a cultural programme in front of Shaheed Minar this morning. Artistes of the organization rendered chorus song there.
