KHULNA, April 15, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested ex-councilor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Naymul Islam alias Khaled in a case from City's Khalishpur area last night.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) conducted a raid and arrested Khaled from his residence at Khalishpur area, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of DB of KMP Md Taymur Islam confirmed the matter to BSS.
OC Taymur said that the arrested Khaled was shown arrested in a case filed on August 30 in 2024 with Khalishpur Police Station, adding, he was at large since filing the case.
He was also a criminal of four cases including on charges of terrorist activities and attacking on the 'Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement' during July uprising, he added.
