Two killed in Faridpur road accident

FARIDPUR, April 15, 2025 (BSS) - A truck carrying watermelons overturned early today at Madhukhali upazila, killing its driver and helper on the spot, police personnel said.  
                                                                                
"The accident occurred at around 3:00 am today at Ghopghat under Madhukhali upazila on the Dhaka-Jashore highway," Karimpur Highway Police Station TSI Md Anwar Hossain told BSS this afternoon.

The deceased were identified as, Truck driver Mohammad Idris and helper Faisal Khan both was the inhabitants of Jashore district. 

Police said, "The truck lost the control and flipped onto the roadside, trapping both occupants inside the vehicle".

Fire Services and Civil Defense personnel recovered the dead body of the helper while the driver was rescued in critical condition and taken to the local hospital, where duty doctors declared him dead.
