Training for hajj pilgrim begins in Khulna

KHULNA, April 15, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day training programme for Hajj pilgrims began today at Khulna Divisional Islamic Foundation auditorium in the city. 

Around 1200 Hajj pilgrims participated in the training programme, which was jointly organized by government and non-government institutions. 

Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saiful Islam inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.

Chaired by the Director of Khulna Divisional Islamic Foundation Md Anisuzzaman Shikder, the event was addressed, among others, by Additional Deputy Commissioner (LA) Nurul Hai Mohammad Anas, senior vice-president of Islami Bank PLC Md Asaduzzaman, former deputy director of Khulna divisional health Dr Harun-or-Rashid, representative of Lima Hajj Travel Agency (HAAB) Md Sayedur Rahman Sayeed and Imam of Bangladesh Bank Khulna Md Masum Billah.

"During the Hajj, the pilgrims must have the mindset of accepting hardships or sacrifices," DC Mohammad Saiful Islam said, adding that everyone should strive to gain the pleasure of Allah. 

He emphasized that the more attentive the pilgrims are during their training, the easier it will be to perform the Hajj rituals. The DC urged the pilgrims to attend the training sessions carefully.
