Two drug dealers held with phensedyl in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, April 15, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two suspected drug dealers with 42 bottles of phensedyl in the Bonkhur area under Puranapail union last night.

The arrestees are Julhas, 32, of Aftabnagar village in Sadar upazila, and Kajol Islam, 31, of Koriya village in Panchbibi upazila. 

They were caught while transporting the contraband on a motorcycle. RAB also seized the bike and three mobile phones.

The duo had been under surveillance for days. They reportedly collected drugs from border areas and distributed them across the district, said the elite force.

The suspects have been handed over to Joypurhat Sadar Police Station for further legal action.
