Man killed in CTG road accident

CHATTOGRAM (South), April 15, 2025 (BSS) - A 55-year-old man was killed in a road accident in front of Govt. Adarsha High School in Anwara upazila here in the district this morning.

Police identified the deceased as Abu Taleb, a resident of Kesura area under Chandanaish upazila.

A Chattogram city-bound speeding truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at around 6:00am, causing serious injuries to two passengers of the three-wheeler, according to eyewitnesses.

The victims were rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where Abu Taleb succumbed to his injuries.
 
Anwara Police Station officer-in-charge Md. Monir Hossain said the police seized the truck and legal action was underway.
