CHANDPUR May 7, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed and five others were injured in a road accident in Debpur area of Sadar upazila here today.
The deceased was Enam Hossain, 21, son of Khorshed Alam, a resident of Munshibari under Barukul union in Hajiganj upazila of the district.
The accident took place around 1 pm on the Chandpur-Cumilla highway when two CNG-run auto rickshaws collided head-on, leaving auto rickshaw passenger Enam dead on the spot and five others injured.
The injured were taken to Chandpur Government General Hospital.
Seriously injured child Ayesha was given first aid and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
Hajiganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mohiuddin Faruk confirmed the matter.
