MAGURA, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day land fair has commenced in the district with the aim of bringing digital land-related services easily to the doorstep of the common people.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Ohidul Islam inaugurated the fair at 10 am on the premises of Magura Collectorate premises.
Jointly organised by the district administration and all upazila administrations with the support from the Ministry of Land, the fair showcases various techniques for providing digital services on land management.
Service recipients are being shown how to pay land development tax online from home, apply for e-namjari (electronic land mutation), and obtain e- parcha and dakhila (land ownership documents).
Land development officers and staff, present at the fair, are offering direct services in a one-stop service model. Additionally, the fair is raising awareness about the ongoing digital innovations in government land management.
Similar land fairs are also being organised in the premises of the upazila parishads under three upazilas of the district.
An awareness meeting was also held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Ohidul Islam addressed the meeting as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Mahbubul Haque in the chair.
On the occasion, Additional District Magistrate Shashwati Shil and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Abdul Kader were also present, among others.
