   JASHORE, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - A college student was killed and another injured as a truck hit their motorbike in Notun Khaertala area of Sadar upazila here this afternoon.

     The deceased was Asif Hossain, 19, son of Meher Ali of Jhaaudia village in Churamonkati union of Sadar upazila and a first-year student of Jashore Technical and Management College.

     The accident took place around 2 pm on the Jashore-Jhenaidah road when a truck hit a motorcycle from opposite direction, leaving its rider Asif dead on the spot and its pillion injured, said Abul Hasnat, Officer-in-Charge of Jashore Kotwali Police Station.

     Locals rescued injured Rakibul and took to Jashore General Hospital.
