NAOGAON, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - The district administration today distributed financial assistance among eight martyrs’ families of the 2024 July Uprising.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal handed over savings certificates of Taka 10 lakh to each of the martyrs’ families at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner this morning.

The district administration distributed the savings certificates to the families of martyrs in July Uprising as a donation from the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.

The members of the martyred family who received savings certificates are - Raihan Ali, son of Mamun Sardar of Panishail village in Niamatpur upazila, Bayezid Bostami, son of late Chakhoat Hossain of Kaigram Farsipara village in Dhamairhat upazila, Sheikh Fahmin Jafar, son of Sheikh Abu Jafar of Taratia village in Atrai upazila, Shakil Anwar, son of Abed Ali of Sridhar Gurnoi village in the same upazila, Biplob Mandal, son of Lutfar Mandal of Shimulia Mandalpara village in Sadar upazila, As Sabur, son of Enab Najez of Daptaripara village in the same upazila, Russell Rana, son of Pintu Rahman of Kashab Bholagari village in Manda upazila and Ridwan Sharif Riyad, son of Ahmed Ullah of Srirampur village in Badalgachhi upazila.

Deputy Civil Surgeon Munir Ali Akand, officials of different levels of district administration, all upazila nirbahi officers and student representatives of various educational institutions of the district were present at the ceremony.
