Businessman killed in Narayanganj road accident

NARAYANGANJ, June 13, 2025 (BSS)- A fish businessman was killed when a local 
motorized vehicle (Nasiman) overturned in Araihazar upazila of the district 
today.
 
Police identified the deceased as Ali Akbar, 65, son of late Ismail from 
Uchitpura village under the upazila.

The incident occurred in Gahardi area on Uchitpura-Ramchandradi road of the 
upazila this morning. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Araihazar Police Station Khandaker Nasir Uddin 
confirmed the matter.
 
According to eyewitnesses, Ali Akbar was traveling with his two sons in a 
Nasiman towards Bhulta. The vehicle overturned and fell onto a roadside ditch 
as he lost control of the steering in the area, leaving him critically 
injured on the spot.
 
Locals rescued him and sent to Araihazar Upazila Health Complex where the on-
duty doctor declared him dead.

"Being informed, police rushed to the spot and legal action will be taken if 
a complaint is filed by the victim's family," the OC added.
