CUMILLA, June 14, 2025(BSS) -The army personnel arrested three people, including two women, from Kotbari Lal Didhirpar area under Sadar Dakhhin upazila of the district yesterday (Friday) and recovered huge drugs from their possessions.

A team of the army, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive at Kotbari Lal Didhirpar area at about 9:30pm and arrested-Md Sharif, 30, son of Abdul Wahed of Mostafapur village under Sadar Dakhhin upazila, Fatema, 30, daughter of Suruj Miah of Lalmati-west village under the same upazila and Lima Akhter, 20, daughter of Liton Miah of Rajakhola village under the same upazila.  

The team also seized 1355 pieces of yaba tablets, 20 grams cannabis, 29 cans of beer, Taka 68,200 in cash and three mobile phone sets from their possessions.

The arrested persons were handed over to Sadar Dakhhin Thana and the police sent them to jail through court.
