Joint forces evict over 100 illegal structures in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 14, 2025 (BSS) - Joint forces have evicted over 100 illegal structures in the Keranihat area on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway under Satkania upazila in the district today.

Upazila administration, highway police, Satkhania Thana police and army jointly conducted the three hour long eviction drive from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm today (Saturday).

Over 100 illegal structures encroaching on the highway and footpaths were evicted in the drive. In addition, strict instructions were given to the leaders of the drivers and owners' associations not to park vehicles haphazardly. 

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Highway Police Cumilla Region Kirtiman Chakma, Satkania Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Farista Karim, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Satkania Circle Md. Tofiqul Alam, Captain Parvez, who is on duty at the Satkania Army Camp, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkania Police Station Md. Jahedul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dohazari Highway Police Station Mahbub Alam and Police Inspector (Investigation) of Satkania Police Station Md. Sudipto Reza among others took part in the eviction drive.
