Snakebite claims life of SSC candidate in Lalmonirhat

LALMONIRHAT, June 14, 2025 (BSS) - A SSC candidate died from snakebite at Uttar Balapara village in Kaliganj upazila of the district last night.

The victim was Bishnu Chandra Shil, 18, son of Sunil Chandra Shil of the village.

Locals said a poisonous snake bit Bishnu at 10pm last night at his residence. Later, he was sent to Kaliganj upazila health complex where the duty doctors declared him dead.

Chandrapur Union Parishad chairman Md Jahangir Alam confirmed the incident.
