PATUAKHALI, June 14, 2025 (BSS) - A student was killed in a fatal road accident in bus stand area of Sadar upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Sabikun Nahar Shoshi, 24, daughter of Jahangir Sikder, hailed from Uttar Boalia village of Golachipa upazila of the district. 

The accident occurred when a passenger bus hit Shoshi, leaving her injured critically.

She was sent to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital. Later, the doctors suggested sending her to Barishal Medical College Hospital. But, Shoshi succumbed her injuries on the way to the hospital.

She was a student of Barishal Jamjam Institute of Health Technology and Mates. Family sources said Shoshi was returning Barishal with her family after vacation.
