Two die, 4 more Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 23, 2025 (BSS) - Two elderly people died and four more 
Covid-19 cases were reported during the last 24 hours in the district.

With these new cases, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Chattogram 
rose to 78 in the past 15 days, said Dr. Jahangir Alam, civil surgeon of 
Chattogram.

He mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being carried out in seven 
different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College and Hospital 
(CMCH) and Chattogram General Hospital.

Currently, 58 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various 
designated hospitals here.

Out of the total 78 corona infected people, 69 are residents of the port city 
and the remaining nine are residents of different upazilas. With two new 
deaths reported during this period, the death toll has reached six in 
Chattogram district.

The Civil Surgeon said that the Health Department has taken all out measures 
to prevent the outbreak of corona infection.

He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks to this 
end.
