BAGERHAT, Aug 20, 2025 (BSS) - The Coast Guard has arrested 2 notorious drug dealers along with yaba and ganja worth Tk 251,000 in a joint force operation in Mongla.

Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq told BSS at midnight on Tuesday.
        
Based on secret information, the Mongla Coast Guard led by the Navy and the police conducted a special operation and search at a house near the Mongla Bandar Bahumukhi Madrasa under Mongla Police Station of the district and managed to arrest two drug dealers along with 1 kg ganja worth Tk 251,000 and 437 pieces of yaba. 

The arrested are Md. Bellal Hossain (40) and Md. Sagir Hossain (52), resident of Mongla Sadar in Bagerhat district. 

The process of taking legal action against the arrested accused is in process.
