Revenue collection in July witnesses 24.33% growth

DHAKA, Aug 20, 2025 (BSS) – The revenue collection by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) witnessed a healthy 24.33 percent growth in July, the first month of the current fiscal year (FY26).

According to the data of the NBR, the revenue board collected Taka 27,249 crore in July, 2025 whereas the collection was Taka 21,916.08 crore in July, 2024.

The NBR’s overall revenue collection last month was, however, Taka 2,861.96 crore lower than the fiscal target of Taka 30,110.96 crore.

As per the NBR data, the collection from the Customs Wing in July, 2025 was Taka 9,602 crore with 17.52 percent growth, the collection from VAT Wing was Taka 11,352 crore with 32.45 percent growth while the collection from the Income Tax Wing was Taka 6,295 crore with a growth of 21.65 percent.
