World Teachers' Day observed in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Oct 5, 2025 (BSS) - The World Teachers' Day was observed here in the district today with a series of events, including a rally and discussions.

The day began with a rally beginning from Swadhinata Udyan and paraded through the main roads before concluding at the Zilla Parishad premises. At noon, a discussion was held at the Zilla Parishad auditorium.

Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan attended the discussion as the chief guest, while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Sadia Islam presided over the event. 

Among the speakers were District Education Officer Md. Sadequl Islam, Headmaster of Government Boys' High School S. M. Abdullah Al Mamun, and Headmaster of Government Girls' High School Md. Shahidul Islam.

In his remarks, Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Hasan emphasized the need for coordination among teachers, students, and guardians to ensure the development of talented students who can contribute to the nation's future. He noted that when teachers are elevated in status and respect, it reflects their highest achievement.
