World Teachers' Day observed in Khulna

KHULNA, Oct 5, 2025 (BSS) - With the theme "Recasting Teaching as a 
Collaborative Profession," World Teachers' Day-2025 was observed in Khulna 
city and all upazilas of the district today in a befitting manner.

To mark the occasion, a colourful rally was brought out in the city this 
morning. It started and ended at the Collectorate Building after parading 
through different streets.

Teachers, students, journalists, distinguished guests from various 
educational institutions, and representatives of social and cultural 
organizations joined the rally.

Later, a discussion meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner's office.

The event was chaired by Additional Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nurul 
Hai Mohammad Anas, while Deputy Commissioner Md Towfiqur Rahman attended as 
the chief guest. District Education Officer S M Sayedur Rahman delivered the 
welcome speech.

Teachers from different schools, madrasas, colleges, and technical 
institutions also took part in the programme.

Speakers at the meeting said teachers are the architects of nation-building, 
adding that society is enlightened with knowledge, morality, and humanity 
through their efforts. Teachers not only teach lessons but also guide future 
generations on the right path, they added.

They further emphasized that teachers play a vital role in ensuring quality 
education and stressed the need for proper respect, fair opportunities, and 
modern training for teachers to meet the demands of the time.
