DHAKA, Oct 5, 2025 (BSS) - Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar, Chief of Sciences and Technologies Sector of Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) today met Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan at the latter's office on the campus.

Prof Qamar was accompanied by Fahmida Faiza during the programme.

During the meeting, they discussed possibilities of joint collaborative academic and research programmes between DU and ICESCO. They also held fruitful discussion on establishment of 'ICESCO Chair' at DU. 

Thanking the ICESCO delegation for the visit, Prof. Khan stressed the need for networking and partnership with renowned national and international organizations to develop academic and research activities. 

He also expressed keen interest in undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes with DU.
