NARSINGDI, Oct 5, 2025 (BSS) - The World Teachers' Day was observed today here in the district through a rally, a discussion and an award ceremony.

The discussion took place at the district Shilpakala Academy and was chaired by district Education Officer ASM Abdul Khalek. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Anwar Hossain attended as the chief guest.

At the programme, five teachers were honored with crests for their significant contributions to the field of education. The awardees were Md. Sohrab Uddin of Narsingdi Government Women's College, Nur Uddin Md. Alamgir of Shibpur Government Pilot High School, Harendra Biswas of Narsingdi Government Technical School and College, Shamsul Alam of Kajair Islamia Dakhil Madrasa (Palash), and Anjana Rani Singh of Sekandardi Government Primary School.

Several government officials, teachers and students attended the programme, among others.
