2 killed in Mymensingh train accidents

MYMENSINGH, June 23, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed in two separate 
train accidents in the district today.

The two tragic incidents took place on Monday (June 23) afternoon, police 
said.

An unidentified person was killed on the spot after being run over by a 
Dhaka-bound Haor Express train near Ahmedabad Railway Station in Trishal 
upazila of the district.

On the other hand, Yusuf Ali, 65, a resident of Dattapara in Ishwarganj 
Municipality, died after being run over by a Chattogram-bound Nasirabad train 
near Ishwarganj Railway Station on the Mymensingh-Bhairab railway line.

Being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent these to Mymensingh 
Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, Officer-in-Charge of Mymensingh Railway 
Police Station Akhter Hossain said.
