CHUADANGA, June 24, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day fruit fair began from today in 
the district with the theme of 'Eat more local fruits, let's plant fruit 
trees'. 

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahirul Islam inaugurated the fruit fair at the 
premises of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) at 11 am.

Deputy Director of the DAE Masudur Rahman Sarkar, Additional Deputy Director 
Krishna Roy, Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Afrin Binte Aziz, Damurhuda 
Upazila Agriculture Officer Sharmin Akhter, Alamdanga Upazila Agriculture 
Officer Rehena Parvin, President of the District Corruption Prevention 
Committee Professor Kamruzzaman, Convener of the Chuadanga District Branch of 
the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Aslam Hossain Ark and Chief 
Organizer Sajeeb Hossain were present among others.

After the inauguration, the guests visited various stalls of the fruit fair. 
Earlier, a procession was brought out this morning and it ended at Kabori 
Road of the town parading main streets.
