12 more Covid-19 cases reported in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, June 24, 2025 (BSS) - The port city has reported 12 more Covid-19 
cases out of 251 tests during the last 24 hours.

With the new cases, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Chattogram rose 
to 90 in the past 16 days, Dr. Jahangir Alam, civil surgeon of Chattogram, 
told BSS today.

He mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being carried out in 12 
different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College and Hospital 
(CMCH) RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 74 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various 
designated hospitals here.

Out of the total 90 corona infected people, 80 are residents of the port city 
and the remaining 10 are residents of different upazilas. This year, six 
persons have, so far, died in Chattogram district.

The Health Department has taken all out measures to prevent the outbreak of 
corona infection, the Civil Surgeon added.

He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks to this 
end.
